Lotto 649 offers players in British Columbia two ways to win in every draw - a jackpot that starts at $5 million and rolls over until someone wins it, plus a $1 million guaranteed prize in each draw. For even more thrills, add Extra and you could win up to $500,000. Draws are held on Wednesday and Saturday evenings after 7:30 PM PT.
How to Play
Each play costs $3 for one set of six numbers from 1 to 49 - you can choose your own favorite numbers or let Quick Pick generate them for you. You will also receive an additional random bonus number. If you'd like to play your six lucky numbers for up to 26 consecutive future draws, simply choose Advance Buy.
Every play also generates a randomly-selected 10-digit number that automatically enters you into the guaranteed $1 million prize draw at no additional cost.
For an even more exciting wager, why not add Extra for $1 more? Four numbers from 1 to 99 are picked by the lottery terminal, and if they match the Extra numbers drawn, you win the top prize of $500,000.
If all six of your Lotto 649 numbers match the numbers drawn by the lottery, you win the jackpot! And don't forget the $1 million prize - you'll become a millionaire if your 10-digit number matches the sequence drawn. To take home the $500,000 top Extra prize, match all four of your Extra numbers to the winning numbers.
Package Play
Packages are the most convenient way to play more than one BC draw game, such as Lotto 649, Lotto Max, BC/49, Daily Grand and Extra, in a single transaction. Plays cost $5, $8, $10, $15 or $20 based on which games you select.
Combo Play
Combo Play is the quickest way to generate multiple number combinations to enter Lotto 649, on its own or along with BC/49. You can play a 5, 7, 8, or 9 number Combo.
Select your own favorite numbers or choose Quick Pick to have them randomly generated. You can also add Extra for $1 more for the chance to win $500,000. For each of your six number selections generated, you'll also receive one guaranteed prize draw number sequence.

Combo 7, 8, and 9 combine your chosen numbers into every possible six-number sequence. For example, if you choose 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 on a Combo 7, below are the seven six-number sets that are generated.
You will receive the same amount of 10-digit guaranteed $1 million number sequences as you have main sets of numbers. For example, if you receive seven sets of Lotto 649 numbers, you'll also get seven 10-digit numbers for the guaranteed prize draw.
Note that your ticket will only show your initial number selection, but all possible combinations of your numbers are stored in the lottery computer and eligible to win a prize.

Prizes and Odds
Below you'll find Lotto 649 prize amounts for the seven prize tiers along with your chances of winning in the main draw (per $3 play). Match all six numbers drawn to take home the jackpot, or score one of the other great prizes by matching as few as two numbers. The "+" below indicates matching the Bonus Number. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 6.6 for each $3 play.
If multiple tickets match all six numbers drawn, the top prize will be shared by the winners. Prizes that are a percentage of the Pools Fund may also be shared by more than one winner.
47% of the money from ticket sales is held in the Main Prize Fund. After any prizes for matching 3, 2+, and 2 are paid, the remainder becomes the Pools Fund.

Guaranteed $1 Million Prize
A randomly selected 10-digit number for the Guaranteed $1 Million Prize Draw is included with each Lotto 649 entry at no additional cost.
To win the $1 million Guaranteed Prizes, your the entire 10-digit number must match the 10-digit number drawn in exact order. The $1 million prize is not split between multiple winners, and does not carry or roll over to the next draw if it is not won.
Odds are one out of the total number of number selections issued for a given draw, so the chances of winning vary by draw.

Extra Prizes
For $1 more per play, Extra gives players four additional ways to win. Up to 10 Extra selections can be added to each ticket. The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 6.5. The top prize of $500,000 is not shared if there are multiple winners; each winner will receive the full amount.
